STARTING YOUR LIVING KIDNEY DONATION JOURNEY
Use this page to track your own living kidney donation journey. From learning about living kidney donation and whether it is right for you, through to the donation itself and after your surgery. When you speak to an NHS Living Donor Coordinator, they will ask many of the below questions, so it will be useful to have an answer ready before you go to your first meeting.
While you’re tracking your progress, you can speak to our Donor Relationship Manager for one-to-one support and advice.
You should always remember that you can withdraw from donation at any stage if you change your mind. Beginning this journey does not mean you’re locked into any decision. Even if you just want to learn more about the journey of a living kidney donor, you can still use this page to track what you’ve learned about the process.
The team will always support you in your choice, and your decision will remain confidential. Above all, everyone wants to make sure you are comfortable.
