BTS Living kidney donation guidelines

The British Transplantation Society features updated guidelines for living kidney donor transplantation. The guidelines reflect a growing body of evidence relevant to the field, incorporating aspects of clinical practice that are relevant to both adult and paediatric settings.

The guidelines describe living kidney donation as “the treatment of choice for most patients with end stage renal disease, offering optimum patient and graft survival and reduced time on the national transplant waiting list.”
