To mark Volunteers’ Week 2-8 June 2025, we wanted to give a huge thank you to each and every one of our wonderful Buddies who generously dedicate their time and share their invaluable experiences of kidney donation through the UK Living Kidney Donation Buddy Support Service.
Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers, providing communities like ours an opportunity to thank current and past volunteers for their invaluable efforts.
We know that support and a sense of community is vital for both donors and those around them during the kidney donation journey. Thanks to the generous work of our Buddies, we are able to offer a safe and secure place where people can connect with others who have lived experience of living kidney donation.
