We launched our latest film at the Royal Society of Medicine yesterday, raising awareness of living kidney donation and the life-changing difference it can make. The evening featured moving speeches from our founder David Dangoor CBE, our Patron Lord Ara Darzi, and Lisa Burnapp, Clinical Lead for Living Donation at NHS Blood and Transplant, as well as a powerful opening from Nina Nannar discussing her own experience of the difference that kidney donation can make to a family.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring this film to life, including the living kidney donors and recipients who so generously shared their powerful personal stories, film producer Ronit Knoble, CBeebies star and living kidney donor Andy Day, and Anita Copley, Clinical Nurse Specialist for Living Kidney Donation at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, who provided expert insight into the living kidney donation journey.
