We’re excited to share that our film ‘Is it inside you to save a life?‘ has been entered for the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2026 – shining a spotlight on the life-saving impact of living kidney donation.
A shortlist of the nominated films will be selected based on a public vote, so we’re asking you to vote for our film today and help us to raise much-needed awareness of living kidney donation. Voting is free and takes less than a minute.
The video was filmed at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent where we took over a shopfront with mannequins and a living kidney donor standing in the window, representing the six people who die every week waiting for a kidney. Each of the figures were seen lifting up their t-shirts to reveal the question ‘Is it inside you to save a life?’
The video also includes the powerful words from four living kidney donors – Bob, George, John, and Hanny – discussing their experiences of donating and how it has affected their lives.
